COURSE OBJECTIVES

  •   To enable students to understand a general survey of social science research methods and techniques.
  • To enable students to develop good research proposal and understand the process of conducting research in the field of Mass Communication.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

The course offers a general survey of social science research methods and techniques available to Mass Communication students. The course will acquaint students with major issues of social research methodology and ethical issues in social research. It will deal with introducing students to empirical research qualitative and quantitative methodologies. The course will also cover topics on developing research proposal, generating data in field research, analyzing data and present results.
